#Shipmas: Edge Day
Published Jan 2, 2026 • 2 min read

We're continuing our 12 Days of Shipmas with a set of features focused on deploying to the edge.

The Edge team at Roboflow is all about bringing computer vision out of the cloud and into the real world: factories, warehouses, farms, and everywhere in between. But let's be honest, deploying at the edge can feel like sending a gift to the North Pole and hoping it arrives. Hardware compatibility headaches, debugging devices you can't easily reach, wondering if that container is actually downloading or just frozen. Today, we're stuffing the stockings with features that take the guesswork out of edge deployment.

JetPack 6.2 Support

This Shipmas we're expanding to the latest Jetson hardware. We've built a dedicated inference container for NVIDIA JetPack 6.2 with special optimizations for even better performance. That means inference runs even faster with a smaller footprint. If you're deploying on newer Jetson devices that require JetPack 6.2, Roboflow now has you covered.

Enhanced Device Logs

This Shipmas, we rebuilt the device log viewer from the ground up. Think of it as a stocking stuffed with everything you asked for: your full log history with no line caps, filters for service and keyword, time range controls, and a UI so smooth it feels like sliding down a freshly waxed chimney. And here's the cherry on top of the gingerbread house: logs now persist through restarts and connection hiccups. Lost logs? That's so last year. Dig in and find what you're looking for.

Camera Settings Builder

Setting up cameras for edge deployment used to be a guessing game. You plug it in, cross your fingers, and hope for the best. This Shipmas, we're unwrapping Camera Settings Builder on edge devices, a simple tool that detects your connected cameras and lets you quickly tweak settings until the picture is just right. No more deploying blind. Get everything configured and previewed first, then transfer those settings straight to production.

Download Status

No more staring at a silent terminal wondering if your 10GB image is actually downloading or just taking a long winter's nap. This Shipmas, your device logs now capture the full journey: pull started, progress updates with percentages and layer counts, and a clear success or failure at the end. Just search your logs for "pull_progress" and watch the magic happen.
